The beginners guide says a team is six units and slot 1 is the leader. Leader skills are described as a 6 star and 7 star feature that hits a unit category, not the whole board, unless the page says otherwise.
Six-slot team rules
Infinite starts at 2.3 million cash according to the beginners guide. Gauntlet starts at 18 million. Slot 1 is the leader: most leader buffs affect only their named category, not every teammate. Baby Vegu and Troy Honda (Enraged) are described as +15% attack to the whole team.

The first row is the wiki Ideal Infinite Loadout #3. The second is the Beginner Guide 19-wave raid example. Neither is an in-game clear by this site; missing a unit requires reassessing coverage, not assuming a one-for-one substitute.

What is the ASTD meta team?
There is no official team. Use a cash unit, a category leader that matches your damage units, and a slow or timestop. Swap the timestop between Infinite and Gauntlet.
